Area Sales Manager in Belgium

Hästens is looking for an Area Sales Manager in Benelux

We are on a mission to improve people’s quality of life and we are looking for an Area Sales Manager in Benelux. As an Area Sales Manager, you will take full reasonability for the profit and growth over a specific area or region. You will focus on New Business Development by setting up meetings with new potential partners to drive sales within your responsible area. 

You will also work with current partners and meet with the continuously to gain trust, manage performance and growth as well as build long lasting relationships over time. This position will work with partners in Belgium, Luxemburg and Holland. 

The Area Sales Manager will represent Hästens in all possible ways and meet our world-class standard. This position is based in Belgium and will report to our Country Manager.

 

Key areas of responsibility

  • Develop a strategic business plan for the area and in alignment with the growth and profitability plan of the market focusing on everything from business development, PR and marketing material on a local level.
  • Understand the market and focus on identifying and develop potential partners in the area. Relentlessly seek for new opportunities and keep all leads warm by continuously follow up with potentials and keep a pipeline of a numerous of potential partners – focus on networking.
  • Establish and maintain good and strong relationships with partners and their stores. Relentlessly look for new ways to improve the partners sales and ensure long-term sustainability for all their stores.
  • Act as a business, financial and strategic advisor and provide partners with analytics, training and results continuously. Share best practice across different partner stores to ensure that all partners are operating in the most efficient way.
  • Make sure that the stores act with the customers in mind and provide them with world-class service, follow guidelines and store design. Ensure to guard the brand from being used the wrong way and communicate new products, service opportunities, problems, special developments, information and feedback.
  • Support with trainings, competence and knowledge for our sales representatives in our partner stores. Make sure they are aware of the impact of sleep according to Hästens standards and coordinate the need of new educations.
  • Follow guidelines, use tools and ensure a structured way of working when it comes to sales, visual merchandising, store concept. Respect and keep deadlines and follow up on results.

 

Desired Skills, Experience and personality traits

For this position we are looking for someone who’s hand’s-on and can be counted on to exceed goals successfully, fast and that push for results. Someone that can work aligned with Hästens ethics and values both in good times and bad. A person who always put the end customer in first hand and focuses on exceptional service, long lasting relationships and those in line with our standards. The person in this position will be successful if he/she is organized and has good presentations skills. Someone who’s inspiring and uses the time effectively.

 

  • +5 years’ experience in sales within the retail industry, preferable experience within premium or home furnishings, with competencies in brand building
  • Computer literacy required (Word, Excel, Outlook, e.g.). Retail Solution experience helpful.
  • Position is based in the Belgium but will require great amount of travel, both within Belgium, Netherlands, Benelux and to Köping in Sweden.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, written and spoken.  Communication skills within French is positive, written and spoken.
  • Continues improver and easy adapter in changing environment.
  • High level of structure, adaptive and flexible to new “ways of working”.
  • Strong network with an outgoing personality with the ability to take own initiatives.
